What does "Zaviwon" mean?
Zaviwon means "oar" in Haitian (Ayisyen) — a tool used to move forward through water.
It represents our philosophy of steady, intentional progress: caring for your hair with knowledge, consistency, and purpose.
ZAVIWON™ brings together modern cosmetic formulation, botanical traditions, and the richness of Haitian heritage.
Who's behind ZAVIWON ™?
ZAVIWON™ was founded by Paola Altine, B.S. Pharmaceutical Biochemistry, Herbalist, Trichologist.
Her approach brings together a background in pharmaceutical biochemistry, herbalism, textured-hair care, and Haitian heritage to curate thoughtful cosmetic hair-care products and educational experiences.

Where are ZAVIWON™ products made?
ZAVIWON™ products are curated by Paola Altine — selected for ingredient integrity, performance, and alignment with Haitian hair-care traditions — and manufactured in Alabama, USA, at a GMP-ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility.
The facility operates under standardized quality-management and manufacturing practices designed to support consistent product quality.

Consultation
Do you offer hair consultations?
Yes. ZAVIWON™ offers 1:1 virtual Hair + Scalp Wellness Assessments.
During the session, we discuss your hair, scalp-care routine, hair characteristics, product use, goals, and questions. You'll receive personalized education and routine guidance based on the information you provide.
The assessment is designed to help you better understand your hair-care routine and make more informed cosmetic product choices.
ZAVIWON™ Hair + Scalp Wellness Assessments are educational and cosmetic in nature and are not medical or diagnostic services.
If your concerns suggest a need for medical evaluation, we may recommend speaking with an appropriate healthcare professional.
Shipping & Returns
How does shipping work?
We currently ship within the United States.
Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days.
Shipping options and delivery estimates are displayed at checkout before payment. Tracking information is provided when available.
What's your return policy?
Because ZAVIWON™ products are personal-care items, we do not accept returns of opened or used products due to hygiene and product-safety considerations.
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact hello@zaviwon.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging.
We'll review the issue and, when appropriate, provide a replacement or refund.
If you experience an unexpected reaction while using a product, discontinue use and contact us. For urgent or persistent symptoms, seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.
My order arrived damaged. What should I do?
Please email hello@zaviwon.com within 7 days of delivery with:
A photo of the damaged product
A photo of the shipping packaging
Your order number
We'll review the issue and arrange an appropriate replacement or refund.
Do you ship internationally?
International shipping is not currently available through our standard checkout.
If you are outside the United States and would like to inquire about an order, contact hello@zaviwon.com with your country and the products you're interested in. We'll let you know whether an international shipping arrangement is available.
